2022 Tripp Films Filmmaking Summer Internship

Tripp Films is a growing film production company in Houston, TX, that works with small businesses to create branded video content for their websites and social media. We are passionate about creating engaging and cinematic films that showcase our amazing clients’ stories, and we are looking for a creative individual who shares our passion for filmmaking, storytelling and social media. The Summer Intern will assist on location with equipment set up, operating camera equipment, capturing behind the scenes photos and footage, as well as creating video content for Tripp Films’ social media. Each client and shoot is unique, so we’re looking for someone who is flexible, can adjust quickly and work in a fast-paced environment. 

In addition to hands-on experience, the Filmmaking Summer Internship offers bi-weekly one-on-one mentorship sessions with Owner and Filmmaker Nikki Tripp. This internship is a great opportunity for a college student or recent grad to learn all aspects of production, gain hands-on experience at professional shoots and learn about creating video for social media. The position is part-time (~15 hours a week) during summer months (May - August).

Responsibilities:

• Set up/tear down at shoots

• Operate cameras and other equipment

• Capture behind the scenes video and photo content as well as create original Tripp Films content for social media

• Assist as needed with monitoring script/shot list, gathering releases, anything else needed

Requirements:

• Extremely punctual

• Professional demeanor

• Shooting & editing experience

• Interest in video marketing & storytelling

• Knowledge of social media tools and trends (specifically Instagram)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Creative problem solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

• Self-motivated

• Ability to receive constructive feedback

• College student or recent college graduate

• Flexible schedule - shoot days vary week to week

• Must be based in Houston and have reliable transportation. This is not a virtual position.

• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs

Benefits:
